Fantastic story beautifully carried by amazing graphics. 4 discs for £30 is a bargain for such an in depth game. Be prepared to set aside a week to really get involved in this game!

The game is too hard.
Not if you select your characters wisely and level them up together. You can not afford to have a weak link in your team when you face the bigger bosses later on in the game.
What should I do with Kalm at the beginning of the game just level him up to a certain levell?

There's no charcter guides made for the game which is my most concern.
General rule for JRPGs: level up until the monsters in the area you're currently in can be dispatched with one or two hits per monster. Keep to that, and you'll have no problem with bosses. Also, status effects are much more important in Lost Odyssey, so taking the time to cast a few in battle can make all the difference.
Okay thanks for the advice and I hope you can keep track of my game progress on xbox live.I'm at the beginning of the for the six time through.
